The left eye of Horus represented the Moon, night and shadows while the right eye represented the Sun, day and light. In ancient Egypt, the Eye of Horus was a talisman representing the Whole and a protective amulet symbolizing health and the ability to be reborn.
The eye of Horus is one of the cosmic symbols of the ancient Egyptians. The stories of their celestial gods fill the mythological accounts trying to explain the phenomena that those men contemplated in the sky and later saw manifesting on Earth.
